Bill Harkin Associatespyramid stage

First designed and built in 1971 by Bill Harkin and many volunteers, the Pyramid stage was constructed of expanded metal panels cladding a scaffold frame.
Almost the stuff of legend the Pyramid Stage has to be the most famous temporary stage ever created. It's timber successor was also probably the worlds most famous cowshed, as this is how it was officially registered to get planning permission.
Now sadly in ashes, its name lives on as the main stage for the Glastonbury festival.

There is something of a controversial saga about the new Pyramid Stage but as far as we are concerned it is a sad story that we do not intend to debate here !
